50th Anniversary Kiosk

Our Challenge:

The Defense Intelligence Agency observed its 50th anniversary on October 1, 2011. To support their year-long anniversary celebration, the DIA requested a kiosk that would serve as a centerpiece during anniversary events, and then be permanently housed at key locations to educate employees of all ages about the agency's rich 50-year history.

Our Solution:

We worked with the DIA to develop and launch the DIA 50th Anniversary Kiosk. The kiosk was launched on October 15, 2010 with initial content covering the 1960s, and additional content releases scheduled every two months over the next year. Once complete, the kiosk housed an impressive 200 stories, 250 images and 120 videos on five large-format (32" and 42") touch screen monitors. Three interactive touch screen kiosks are located at the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center (DIAC) at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC. One kiosk is installed in the lobby of the DIA’s Clarendon location, and another one is located at the Joint Use Intelligence Analysis Facility (JUIAF) at Rivanna Station, near Charlottesville, Virginia. A scalable, easy-to-use content editor was provided to DIA so that additional stories, photographs, and video can be added by DIA staff at any time.
